300 is a highly successful 2007 historical fantasy film adapted from the graphic novel 300 by Frank Miller. Although the novel is riddled with cultural and historical errors, it loosely depicts the heroic stand by the Spartans at the Battle of Thermopylae and the events leading up to it from the perspective of Leonidas I, King of Sparta.
