British Military - 1923 Featured Gun in "Indiana Jones" Movies The Webley Mk I service revolver was adopted in 1887. A later version, the Mk IV, rose to prominence during the Boer War of 1899 _- 1902. However, the Mk VI, introduced in 1915 during the First World War, is perhaps the best-known model. Webley top-break revolvers were in official service with the United Kingdom from 1887 until 1963 and can be found in limited service throughout the old British Empire. First offered in .455 cartridge and later in 38 S&W200 cartridge. This series of revolvers went through a number of different marks during its long production life. Our detailed MK IV reproduction was chambered in the 38 S&W 200 cartridge, introduced in 1932 and was the heavily used during WWII and beyond. Full sized and made from blue/black metal except for the black plastic grips. The top-break opens like the original, the cylinder rotates and double-action trigger and hammer work.
