Derivatives of this classic edged weapon were originally produced in Granada as early as the 13th Century. Variations of this sword were produced throughout the Iberian Peninsula for over 200 years by both Christians and Muslims, but they were most known as a preferred weapon of the Muslims during the Crusades.Originally made in the Nasrid Kingdom of Grada in the 15th Century, this beautifully mastered replica has elaborate engraving through out the sword and scabbard and a horseshoe shaped quillon. The sword measures appoximately, 34 inches in length. This piece would make an excellent addition to any Medieval collection.
